1. •meets monthly to make items for comfort bags for women coming out of mastectomy surgery at the Johns Hopkins Breast Center as well as volunteering for events organized by the center like “breastivals” and survivor retreats. charity@jhmaonline.org

Dinner outreach

1. •arranges for members to provide meals to other members who are experiencing a life-changing event, such as a new baby or sudden illness in the member's family. outreach@jhmaonline.org
   

Gourmet Night

1. •allows members to socialize in each other’s homes on a monthly basis while sampling a variety of pot-luck food themes. This is a great event for couples, but there are certainly plenty of members whose medical spouse has to work that night. gourmetnight@jhmaonline.org

1. •is a drop-off pre-preschool program that meets weekly at a local church where children enjoy stories, songs, a provided snack, and time with friends while mom or dad gets two hours to herself or himself. Parents rotate staying with the children and providing a craft. A modest fee covers the church nursery rental, supplies, and snacks. toddlercoop@jhmaonline.org
   

Orientation Committee

1. •compiles information to provide a Welcome Guide containing housing information, Baltimore resources, and JHMA information for all incoming house staff at Hopkins each year and serves as “buddies” who help welcome new members whose spouse/significant other is in their spouse/significant other's department. welcome@jhmaonline.org
